I have tried to highlight the discord within humanity. Alongside what we call ‘normal’, there are individuals who act purely out of self-interest, who inflate their own importance to an extreme degree. They murder or order murders in the name of their ‘ideal’. They invade other countries or oppress their own people. Even today, these people are, at least in part, celebrated as heroes or great figures. And yet humanity is surprised that history keeps repeating itself.
