FAREWELL
Two excellent musicians provided the beautiful music for this song. A wonderful lyricist provided the voice and words to make it what it has become. It fell on me to bring the two parts together. I had to exercise a bit of arranging license to make that happen and hope the musicians are agreeable with the results.

what i liked immediately was that you and Klaudia let Rob's flavorful guitar be savored for the opening - it really helps to set the dramatic stage. the sections of R and K only are just lovely - very discerning of you to let instrumental passages be just that. to hear Rob's straight to the heart melody, then Klaudia's thoughtful, measured response is simply a treat.
this makes THE most out of all of you - your sense of timing is gorgeous, P.
Marianne - you've never sounded better. or said so much with so few words, making each one count. i married a man for his accent once. yours enchants.
my favorite parts:
never took our eyes…
never spoke…
WHEW
so much need
so much pain
MORE WHEW
your suitcase packed - that single line perfect left there for so long
hearts empty - sweet counterpart to packed suitcase
prisoners held captive - ooooooooo
every word contributes
beautiful, beautiful, exquisite pacing
