The hiss hardly noticeable. Love this jam! Felix says maybe pre-amp gain high and output low could cause hiss. Just a question -- do you mix through headphones or through monitors? It really does make a difference is how loud the bass comes out in the mix. This mix sounds pretty good but on some other uploads your bass is sometimes a tad loud in the mix. :) +0

Just started doing it through headphones as i have bought a decent pair, used to do it through speakers. I need to mix it leave it alone before uploading then listen next day and i then notice if levels right, you know what us bass players are like we only hear one thing :-) I do this through my hi fi using a laptop so dont have any studio type setup going on, seems to be getting better using the headphones +0

:) Okay. Felix's thoughts -- he is the one who asked about headphones actually -- I just passed it on. He has good headphones too. He's been recording/mixing since the 70's. He admits he doesn't know for certain ... he only his own experience, which is that mixing using room speakers (he calls them monitors) is what has worked better for him personally. Especially with bass. Because when you step back across the room the equalization sounds different. Thanks for the chat on this! ;) +0

It always sounds right through my speakers but they are big and when uploaded the bass always seems loud. I seem to get a better mix using the new headphones, my speakers are 200 watt hifi speakers not studio monitors which i have been told are much better for mixing. I think just get immune to the levels really when messing around and seem to notice the levels a lot better the next day if that makes sense. More an inexperienced ear problem maybe. Thanks for advice i will note that and thanks to Felix much appreciated, i am here to learn and all feedback is appreciated. +0
