this is a WAAAY jazzier and looser version of a song I did in my band called Verve. As a matter of fact it hardly resembles it at all. The bass player and drummer wouldn't recognize it! SPEAKing of those guy--Bass and Drums, and a sax guy Please---- add up!

GemmyF the thing I played with Mortheol just stoked my fire for playing like this, also thinking of an inkless great fuzziness going on here.:) +0

GemmyF
GemmyF thanks Gary--this is kind of how I remember Tool's music!
and their approach yet
the way I play

DrStrgeglv
DrStrgeglv Tool...Tool.... Oh yeah, only the best ever! +2
DrStrgeglv
This will be really interesting to see what happens here compared to the original mix, which I would want to hear AFTER this one is done! +1
GemmyF
GemmyF we'll see--sometimes getting adds is like winning the lottery. I hope Jeebsie the BASS master of these types of "progressive" comps would get a go bass thump! +0
DrStrgeglv
DrStrgeglv I'd say more like a school dance, "Wallflower". Like you're waiting to be chosen... hoping for Cyndi Slammer (the class slut), but then here comes Peggy Pimpler... and it's all good, 'cause she can DANCE (if you know what I mean)! +1
GemmyF
GemmyF yeah Asked The Dude to Dance Yesterday, He said maybe tomorrow, CODE FOR NO!!!!:| +1
DrStrgeglv
DrStrgeglv Maybe he just wants you to work for it(playing hard to get). Try something more subtle, like offering to pay for it. Sometimes that works. +1
GemmyF
GemmyF yeah well I have a bass if I'm that desperate! +1
garymcmill
garymcmill Hey now +1
DrStrgeglv
DrStrgeglv Wow, the metaphors are really running deep tonight! +1
2underpar
I was playing around the kit with my headphones on. This ain't no easy task for a drummer. It's going to take a little creative thinking. I'm digging it. +1
GemmyF
GemmyF take it in bite sized chunks!

get one part down--Slay it, then get the next pattern and punch in at that area and record once you get it down.

Itocpogo
Extremely creative, Jim! You sketch a pattern and can see the possibilities that others can take it! Happy New Year! +1
GemmyF
GemmyF thanks Dan, take a try! +0
Jeebsie
