Yes I can hear some similarities in style, I'd not heard of David Bromberg so thanks for the introduction, I've been fan of T E for past few years since I first saw his amazing guitar boogie video on youtube, I've followed him ever since.

Some great picks here Jim I know a lot of these, others I will have to look up....I love Joe Walsh too...the Eagles have always been a favorite group of mine...saw them live in Lake Tahoe a few years ago. And yes I like Cat Steven's style of playing too. There's a few country pickers I like as well...Jerry Reed Steve, Wariner, not forgetting Vince Gill are some that come to mind.

My friend David is personal friends with Leo Kottke. He did lighting for quite a few tours of his back in the 70s when he wasnt doing the Stones. He says of all the acts he worked with Kottke was his favorite. He said Leo is a class act of a human being personally.

I've watched this video several times in the past and have the CD they made together...they're great together. Tommy Emmanuel was influenced by Chet when he was a kid, he said his dad told him that's not one guy playing it's trick effects...he developed his style of playing by listening Chet's recordings. Mark Knopfler is from the same area in London where I grew up...sadly the similarities end there. :)

Another fine guitarist is Gino Fillion. He lives not very far from my house. And he plays the same guitar the luthier Michel Pellerin made for me.
