Good one, Chris. I also found a cool interview with Victor Wooten there. And now I was listening to and then commenting onto this - see my page at

Going back and listening, no I mean really listing to albums and songs like I used to. It's very inspiring to get lost in the music again...every musician should do this. This album is what got me into Holdsworths guitar playing. From the album Feels Good To Me.The song is Back To The Beginning.:)

Really cool tune! And interesting mix :D The mixing engineer was in love with the singer I think :D

Really like those two Bruford albums with Holdsworth. Especially 'One Of A Kind', one of my favourite prog / fusion albums. 'Gradually Going Tornado' the third one is very good too, John Clark is on the guitar and he's pretty much mimicking Holdsworth style, but he does it quite well actually.

From 'One of A Kind' :

Cool proggy & jazzy tune! Reminds me of some Van Der Graaf Generator tracks. A bit less edgy and jazzier maybe. Really nice stuff!

Even bass players like me are always on the quest for that perfect sound... I was reading and listening to a lot lately, and summed it up on my blog over at https://wolfgang.lonien.de/2022/05/tube-preamps-for-a-p/

In case you don't want all that technical mumbo jumbo, and only listen to some fun bass playing, here you go:

This one is so cool:

Yesterday I heard a cover which I found brilliant - because it includes the original composer, her band, and also original voice actors. If you haven't seen the series then maybe you should, just because of that music:

Brian (bhunt1) mentioned Snarky Puppy in the shoutbox - so I had to look up their latest one on their homepage. And like always, their live recordings are master classes in about everything. This composition is from https://www.marklettieri.com/ - one of their guitar players:

Have fun :)
