Hi everyone. It's a pleasure to be accepted into this group. I am pretty new to music, a very late starter. I began writing poetry in July 2016 and started writing lyrics in October 2016. I've begun to take some guitar tuition, so hopeful one day to be able to add music to my own words. But for now I am more than happy for musicians and vocalists to take my words and develop them into songs should they wish to. I am a prolific writer, almost every day I write a lyric, sometimes three or four. I use writing as a therapy to focus my thoughts as I suffer from PTSD. Music is a very important part of my life now, and I look forwards to finding some wonderful people here who can draw inspiration from my writing to make fantastic songs.

Welcome to the loops :D
Have you tried singing your lyrics? Also, it might be cool to recite your lyrics to one of the tracks if you are uncomfortable with singing. Go on, get a microphone and join the fun :D

Cats fighting sound far better than me singing. I don't have any recording ability at present, but when I do I will try reciting to music sometime. Sounds ok. xx

lol then we should make a song together, my wahwah playing has been compared to cats fighting in the backyard, that would make good combination :)Cats fighting sound far better than me singing
Anyway, I would definitely give it a go, and if singing is not your thing then reciting poetry to a cool track is the next best thing. Even if you would just speak one of your poems onto an empty track, someone will work with it. I will for sure :)
If you want advice about microphones etc, just ask the question in the forum, and you will get good advice ;)

Hello Jane, I like to sing songs and I`ve made many of them here on the loops...but I cannot speak english
very good ( left school for about 25 years ) and so my vocal language doesn`t make much sense...
if you want, please write some lyrics for me and I will try to get it in melody in my next jams...

Hello Jane,
also a late welcome from me :)
I had listen some songs with lyrics from you and it's awesome.
I love your lyrics. Sometimes it's a bit hard to understand what you will say (my English is not the best)
but always enjoyed. Thanx for being here ! :)

A belated welcome to the Loops, Jane! It's a fantastic idea to offer up your lyrics to people - look forward to your adding guitar in the future too!
