Carnaby Street

walking down Carnaby Street
with my Bowler hat low
ducking the hippies and mods
looking for fashion
the likes of John Stephen
never before seen the show
trying to find the Karnaby House
and food for ration

Florence Mills Social Club
with the jazz flow
taken away again
by the younger Small Faces
the city split like
Plato's Republic you know
the Earl of Beaconsfield
citing all those cases

the gears of Disraeli
not to be confused with Clapton's Cream
spinning his work of Sybil
continual fighting with the Lords on their feet
in the house of commons
and all of that unnecessary drivel
the classes clashing once again
reclaimed by the people ah yes down on Carnaby Street
