Yes Wade - that's what made her famous here in Europe. Kinga's still young but so talented - and the daughter of a Jazz musician. Most things I saw of her until now left me relatively cold, but then she came up with this:

That young lady definitely has the groove - and obviously some fun as well while playing. She also had one for the bass players lately, first in her normal tempo, and then a bit slower to play along with her:

Sent both to my brother as well, tho both of us don't have any fretted instruments anymore.

Definitely one to watch.

Edit: no English Wikipedia entry of her yet, but you could have the German one translated: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinga_G%C5%82yk - or look at her own page at http://kingaglyk.pl/

Yeah, Tal is great, a monster player. And if you're with Herbie Hancock, or with Jeff Beck, then you know you've made it :) Loved her "Transformation", which is that kind of "shut up & play" stuff which simply leaves you speechless...

And if this is about girls/ladies playing the bass, then a few others come to mind as well, both electric and on the upright...

Edited: removed the embed - a complete CD (or double CD) is a bit too much to embed here perhaps. Changed it to a link to YT instead :)

And a second edit: that young lady can sing as well - I once heard this nice session with her on an acoustic bass:

I also discovered Kinga Glyk recently; here is a track off her most recent album released last month:

3 Daughters here..the same. I thought maybe there would be a spark when #2 forked out $2500 for a Gibson Accoustic Guitar, but I think it lives in her closet now with her wardrobe :) Or..she traded it off for Jeep parts:|
