Hey there,

to know you're musical tastes a little better; what is the song you currently dig the most? A song that you listen to a few times a day...

Please try single out the one song you really like the most at the moment.
And what is it you like about the song?

For me it's this one starting at minute 03:50 :

I love how heavy and emotional it is, and how it gets heavier throughout the song.

Hope to get some great songs from you guys.

just having a listen to your favorite, now that sounds pretty harsh man :)
I'm listening to my own recordings of the "mellow mark" concert I engineered two weeks ago, cant share that here for legal reasons, since we founded wikiloops, my listening to "officially released music" has dropped really low down I have to admit :)

@ ChrisB: I do barely listen to blues/soul, but this rocks. I like how they play the refrain without singing, just the guitar doing the melody.

@ Dick: Unfortunate, I would like to have heard some of that stuff. Is there a song available on youtube, that you like?

I've been on the lookout, but his official material is really diffrent from his unplugged setup, and I just discovered my unplugged recording is way better than the overly produced releases on youtube... sounds strange, but I have to say so before you check that out and think I'm fond of what I'd call plastic reggae. This guy can give you goosebumps with a guitar, a voice and nothing else, I'm gonna have a word with him about that...

that's really cool. i like the song at 2:28, and from minute 2:54 it's truly great. I love that guitar playing there.
I did a quick search on youtube, mellow mark did some german tracks, too, right?

I love Canadian rock bands. These guys are one of the best. I like the way the drummer hits the drums. Reminds me of a certain Canadian Wikiloops drummer. :) The early to mid 1990's were the best.

I've been digging Sara Bareilles lately.

This is a Live at Soundcheck concert. She's just a great arranger, pianist, vocalist, and her band is great too.

Cheers,

Adams drum groove in #5523 http://www.wikiloops.com/backingtrack.php?jamsession=5523

reminded me and Felix of a song Felix got to play live a long time ago at an outdoor picnic event in San Francisco with one of his buddies! He hasn't heard that groove since then.

Very cool Adam!

Here is that song by the original artist David Gray

Love all kinds of stuff but I think John Martyn had the voice of an angel and was a wicked guitar player.

Sorry but can someone tell me how to add videos, post it on my wall or mail me, thanks.

Hey, I have been listening to Independent and Unsigned artists on an internet radio station that I run. Check it out [www.yellowroomradio.com]. We play electric blues, rock, jazz, funk, and soul. The way all the genres go together after a while is great. ENJOY! and Pass It On...

I love this song!

I also really love the Atoms for Peace album:

and one of my all time favourites:

the hypnotic loops and slow buildup are just amazing, one day I want to make something like this and I can die happy ;)
