I've been a member for awhile, never making my "debut" but loving the site nevertheless. Trying to overcome my obstacles a little at a time; an old left handed bass guitar student. But now I've amputated my right index finger. Back to square one. Anyone else around here have experience trying to fret without a pointer?
A high four to all! :|

A bully twisted my 3rd finger at school, so it comes down over my little finger, so I never got started on guitar. It never stopped me playing mouthorgan though. I think bass lines and harp lines are often quite similar, just an octave or two apart. So if you don't become the next Django Reinhardt (yes, different fingers, different instrument but) perhaps you could try the old gob iron?:)

That's good idea.I have several left-handed 12 and 16 hole Chromatic's that I can dust off if I find that I cannot figure out a workaround for my missing digit. Have quite a few of left handed diatonic's as well but I always sucked at them. (a pun?)
Thanks for the idea! :)

Thanks! My diatonics are all right-handed so I have difficulty playing along to left-handed songs. But playing has taught me one good lesson - it's OK to suck. :W All the best.
