Do you know I’ve been waiting a long, long time
Is there any chance you’ll change your mind
Sometimes I think there may be a chance
Come on baby let’s dance ‘let’s dance
I’ve got my arms around you
We’re moving round the floor
Deep slow sliding, are you sure?
Are you sure you’ll come with me ?
Are you sure that you want to?
Where are we going?
Close up close up inside
Close up close up inside
Close up rescue me.
(Repeat all)
Another sad but maybe hopeful song I made. Demo below

Another good song. You could record just your vocals and put it on WL as a template. I think you'd get plenty of remixes to turn it into some really good.
I'd do that with my lyrics but I still haven't got my recording setup sorted out properly. Soon come, soon come!
BTW, great noise on the mp3! A good sample for somebody :)

Thanks BB - I don't think I have enough confidence to post a vocal only template. That's why in most of the songs I have posted the voice is well down in the mix. Thanks for the encouragement and I hope you get your recording set up working well. I have just invested in a new audio interface (not yet arrived) which I hope will improve my recorded sax sound.

I think that's all it is - confidence. I was very hesitant posting my first vocal but very encouraged by the positive responses. I realised that even though I thought my voice was terrible, others thought it was OK, some even thought it was very good. So when I recorded my next songs, my thought was "here we go, hope for the best, we'll see how this one goes down." In other words I was a little more confident. That confidence came through into my vocals and my singing was better, just a touch, and I could hear it myself.
You've got a good voice, I like it and I think many others will like it too, so I hope you'll record it as a template, or find a template you can sing your lyrics to. They are excellent lyrics and deserve to be heard.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes I think the the best route is to find a template to sing along to. I did that with a reggae template a few weeks ago and that wasn't too traumatic!:) Of course it was more recitative than a song but a start at least.

#252213 was an upbeat cheerful reggae tune, imho, and I didn't think your lyrics fitted. Your vocals showed your lack of confidence. But thumbs up for trying. There's a better track out there somewhere that your song will fit into. Something a bit more bluesy or even depressing!
