Rubber bell sounds for evensong,
Though nobody hears it toll,
Faithful folk on vulcanized knees,
Praying for a rubberized soul,
Slick latex saints in the cloisters,
Expanding to ward off evil,
See Bishops bouncing off the walls,
Down at the rubber cathedral.

The King of the bouncy castle,
Sits proud in a rubber pew,
Bouncing a check in the offertory,
While he looks down his nose at you,
A camel made out of rubber,
Stretched through the eye of a needle,
Rich men squeezing in to heaven,
Down at the rubber cathedral.

Pages from a rubber gospel,
More supple than the word of God,
Chattering children kept in line,
With a poke from a flexible rod,
Rude words written on the choir stalls,
Penned by impertinent people,
A choir boy starts to rub one out,
Down at the rubber cathedral.

Rubber cathedral, rubber cathedral,
Steeple extends to the sky,
Sins bounce off elastic people,
Flexible rules apply.
