Over-thinking is a dream killer!

I got 3 thumbs for my suggestion for a "Let's talk" continuous thread, but after a tossing, turning, over-thinking short night, I woke (at 4 am) with the obvious flaw in the idea.

I can't do this because if would virtually make the forum a 'one gal show' : no-one would bother or need to start their own threads would they, and there aren't too many already .

And as I came to this conclusion the words of Major 3rd rang out in my head "Don't over-think things" I didn't realise that I always do this and over-thinking (for me) almost always has a negative conclusion. This is the reason my life gets stuck at times, I think things to death.... but usually after I have rushed into something impulsively.

What does that old song say "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread" Good night :)

meh, i just stopped by to make sure you got yer desired 4th thumb ;)
it doesn't hurt to be the fool sometimes, if it was not for the fools rushing in, some places that appear like rich gardens would be deserts, you know?
"sometimes the only one is just the first" is a quote I read one some fellow highschool students bag many years ago. There is some truth to that.

Shamika, you don't have to worry about posting here, any thread you start is welcomed, and up till now they were all good and very interesting - I look forward reading them - thank you!! So go ahead and post, the worst that can happen is that you won't get a lot of replies, and after a few weeks it slides down the list. So go for it :W

Thanks Dick and TeeGee. Maybe I'm being too analytical and need to lighten up some.
I get such pleasure from persuading people to share their thoughts and consider mine.

So, even if just for selfish reasons I will carry on regardless and hope to meet up with my wikipals whenever they jump in.

I think of it as "Jamming" together, but with words. I aim for a mixing pot of ideas that I can stir to make a read that's sweet, sour and a little spicy, :)
