Is it just me?

I logged in just now and when a track is playing the location indicator bar is flashing at about the tempo of the tune... I start to feel sick to my stomach after just a few seconds, and I have to look away from the screen. Some video games that I used to play do the same thing to me now, so I had to quit playing them. I think it may be something related to the thing that caused some people to have epileptic seizures... Just FYI... NOT a fan even though I can see where that might help some people find the tempo on a track that does not specify one though.

As I am typing this I see this at the top of the page also.

Just a thought, but...

Maybe a small green or blue dot in the corner flashing to the tempo would be a much better option than having the indicator bar flashing on and off... At least for people like me. Thanks for the great work with the site... :W

Hey BooDoggie,
the flashing of the location indicator bar you are describing is not a feature we have built on purpose, it rather sounds like some kind of visual bug to me - you are talking about the red-line which indicates the progress on the players waveform, correct? That should only be moving, not flashing.
Which type of browser are you using, and what is your devices screen resolution if I may ask? The flashing might be introduced by some zoom effect, or maybe its a retina display related thing? If you can, please do take a screenshot of what you are seeing... much aprecated!

Yes - It's really strange that I'm seeing it flash with the tempo of the song... weird...

I did just buy a new monitor that is supposed to be a gamer monitor. It supposedly has a 165mhz refresh rate. To be honest I haven't really been very impressed with it since I bought it. I have thought for the last couple of day that I noticed a quick bright flash or blink out of the corner of my eye sometimes when I'm not looking directly at the screen.

I'm using the latest updated Firefox browser on Windows 10 64bit with an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 video card. I'm to try switching back to my other monitor, and I'll let you know what I find. I'm also using a newer and faster 5G internet that was upgraded last week and is now getting over 200mb download speeds and average 70mb upload.

Thanks
Roger

Well Dick... I just logged back in and the problem is gone. All is normal again. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if I find anything worth mentioning.
