Suggestion - Credit Track to Artist

Here's a situation I've come across a few times. Let's say I start a new track with a chord progression or bass line and later find a separate drum track, that would fit. I can download the drums and add it to my track, but it will always show the drums as being added by me. It would be nice to give that drum credit to the orginiator instead of just having to mention it in the comments or something.

Hey,
thanks for the suggestion :)
Hope you don't mind if I ask: Why don't you just mix what you have with those drums, and post that as a remix to these drums? That way, it would be obvious who played what - or am I missing something?

See, the issue with your proposed solution is that that is not safe from abuse - anyone could upload any track and "credit" it to someone else, I don't really want to imagine the type of confusion and irritation one could spark by "impersonating" other users that way, so, that does not sound like an ideal solution to me to be honest.

Thanks for the reply. Of course, the easiest solution is to just post to the original drum track. That's usually going to work for everyone, and probably why this isn't worth the effort, but I can think of a few situations where you might want to go another route.

1. The drums you want are part of another remix and don't sit as a stand-alone track. The HD track is available though.
2. You have already started your own track, which may feature several remixes already and you want to add drums on top of that.
3. You don't want your song to get buried under a drum track with hundreds of other remixes, and want to build your own from the ground up.

I get what you're saying about the security aspect as well. There would have to be some kind of back-end relationship set up between your own track and the ID of the track you are using. Again, probably more development work than is necessary.
