I still had some Wide Awake Club members left to feature - artists like Shiihs - Krasimir - Rootshell - and more... but I've decided to include them in this new thread which focuses on the many Countries that make up the wikiloops family.

*** PLUS - I'll set a poser for you to answer (without Googling) for each feature Country.***

The first country is BELGIUM

*** Test your Belgian knowledge, who is the famous musician in this picture and what was his claim to fame ?

Now back home to our own Belgian music makers

Shiihs is such an interesting, creative and experimental music maker with a great sense of fun and also part of the social whirl at wikiloops

fanne is an acoustic guitarist who gets lots of :W from listeners

oho io usually employs sequencer, mixer and vocals. I got used to seeing gifs in the comments that made me smile

Are you from Belgium ? Do you know much about Belgium musical tastes ? Do you have more to add to this there first 3 artists ?

Great idea Shamika.Wikiloops have many advantages but one of most important is possibility to play and ineract with musicians from all over tthe world.Once i discuss with my friends in Bulgaria i always state tthis argument for spending so much time with Wikiloops. And his is is possibility to play with peoply from round of world.Other is that everyone of us representt specific musical culture of his counry. This is wealth.Nice day ahead for all.In my mind is why we dont have map with representattives from all countries. This should no be much problem to be done.

Thank you Krasimir and just for you I'm now featuring

BULGARIA

... But it seems that you are the only Bulgarian member with recent uploads. A real WL regular <3

Bulgaria is a beautiful Country but they don't have any really famous artists that I know. We probably think more of Folk music rather than Rock and Pop. But here's a band that Rock from Bulgaria :)

Krasimir often writes about Bulgarian scenery and atmosphere and usually adds lovely pictures to illustrate - same with his YouTube videos where wikiloops tracks often feature. I tried to sing in Bulgarian once and Krasimir seemed very pleased (not sure if he understood it however :))

So Krasimir is a credit to his lovely Country.

The next Country has lots of active wikiloopers and a history of producing many successful main stream artists, like
Neil Young... Joni Mitchell... Alanis Morissette... Michael Bublé... Sarah McLachlan... Bryan Adams... Avril Lavigne, Drake, Shania Twain, Celine Dion and Gordon Lightfoot who sadly died this year... too many more to mention. Of course I'm talking about ...

CANADA

Here at wikiloops there's another list of good musicians claiming the Canadian flag like...

ROBJOL (prolific instrumentalist and singer writing moving songs and adding great guitars to our mixes)

Byrath, (Rock and Metal but also Cetic and Folk plus a collection of more unusual instruments)

WildGoat, (Mostly guitars but also a distinctive singing voice)

Tu, (multi talented singer/songwriter, producer, much in demand)

These are just people that I've interacted with but there are lots more wikiloopers here now and from way back whose templates are still being used today :)

My question about Canadian music is .... Which is is the most commercially successful Canadian rock band selling more than 50 million albums around the world.

PLEASE NOTE

I'm not adding any more Countries, musicians and questions to this thread now, there's not much interest and it's too hard to keep it going so I'll just finish with the answers.

Belgium was...... Django Reinhardt - Early Jazz in Europe
Bulgaria .............Thanks to Krasimir for lots of feedback
Canada was........Nickleback - Biggest Album sales

That's all folks :)

I will have to think of a more enticing topic for the next thread :) Shammy !
