Dreams, fantasies and ideas for songs

So many times a dream or fantasy can be an inspiration for a piece of music. Often dreams are easily explained by what's happening in our lives but sometimes there is no logical explanation. Some folk never remember their dreams and some have the same dream many times. I thought wikiloopers could share dreams, fantasies or even strange experiences that may have inspired songs.

Can I also add .... For the non-dreamers, do you have an interesting idea for a song subject or story?

I've been sick all day today. While sleeping I had a dream we were travelling to foreign lands (which we just got back from) but all the license plates on the vehicles were Wikiloops user names and I was trying to tell everyone around me "hey I know that guy! But alas, no one believed me. :o

I believe you Kells :) I can interpret your dream - wikiloops is Worldwide and all the tracks have numbers, plus you are spending more time here and getting to know more user names, many of those also contain numbers too... sweet dreams :)

have only dreamt about Wikiloops once, Shi was in it, I think we were talking about kids or something. was a while ago from what I recall.

I usually don't remember my dreams.

Song subjects? I always have strange, rude, and twisted ideas for those, never appropriate for the 'loops.

I never heard of Sleestaks but I'm glad I didn't when I was a kid. They did inspire a few songs however

I have one of those sport watches that monitor my pulse and exercise, activities, etc. It also monitors your sleep, telling you how many hours you slept, and how much of it was deep sleep, light sleep etc. I don't wear it at night, but when I got it a few years ago I tried it for a week. I don't usually sleep a lot, 6h a night, sometimes an extra half hour after dinner on my beloved red sofa. It turns out I have a an extremely long deep sleep phase, apparently longer than 95+% of users :o . That might explain why I don't need a lot of sleep. But that might be the reason I don't dream, or to be more accurate: I don't remember my dreams. Sometimes I wake up, remember a funny dream and want to tell Mrs. Gee about it later--- poooof gone!! Erased from my memory completely. Can't remember it. I think my hard drive is full, dreams are getting into the temp files and erased when I open my eyes. No sleep dreams for me, just daydreams ;)

I dreamed that my G string broke at the moment RootsHell shouted "solo!" at me during a concert in front of 3000 people.
