Biography
Many of you know me as Grathy, but my real name is Mary McGrath.
I am a primarily known as a freelance writer. My work has appeared in a number of magazines, newspapers, books and several websites. Some of my publishing credits include: Newsweek, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Good Housekeeping, National Lampoon, L.A. Times and Copley Newspapers. My first book of poetry, TRESPASSING STOPLIGHTS AND ATTITUDES, came out through Mudborn Press. If you are interested in a copy, please contact me at grathy@aol.com for more information.
Some of my more recent work is on Medium.com.

As a singer, my influences include Diana Krall, Mel Torme, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, k.d. lang, and a number of other gifted artists. I can't read music, and largely play by ear. I've been in a few bands over the years, but I prefer to work online with gifted musicians who are capable of taking my work and taking it to the next level.
I was in the advertising field for a number of years, and got out of corporate life in 2003 to pursue my creative interests. I'm having a blast!
