Well, they call this the boogie metro
Cause it swings so well you see
Everyone is snapping fingers
To the beat all along the street

I’m trying to keep up with them
Too bad I was born
With two left feet

I can hardly dance the rumba
They say I’ve got it wrong
I always sit on the sidelines
No matter what the song

Better head up to the punchbowl
Where I can drown
My beat less soul

At school they gave me lessons
On how to keep the beat
But soon I tripped and landed
On someone else’s feet

Maybe I’ll stick to ‘rithmatic
Where I can make sense
With paper and ink

Those algorithms on the board
Make far more sense to me
Equations and divisions
Are easy for me to see

Too bad I can’t convert the math
To the dance floor
Where I incur such wrath

Someday maybe I’ll find someone
Who will put up with this clod
And be patient with my foolish ways

Until then I’ll simply stick to trig
Where in the class I’m super big
