If I would be 15 years old and could start to play an instrument, I would take a saxaphon. Fantastic Instrument! Ok, I play a harp and found this fantastic slow-blues with a sax, that´s better then nothing :D

Never too late to start playing an instrument if you really want. You've already got your "musical chops" and that's 90% of the game. The technical aspects would take only about two years till you'd play what you can now play on the harmonica.

Excellent play from you on this one.

gnoerreby Thanks for your motivating words! I´m sure, you know what you´re talking about. Maybe, that I need more than 2 years. It took me more than two years to play the harp as now. But I think you´re right: It´s never too late! :) +1

Wade The reason it will take less time is that you have already learned how to hear the music and play what you want to hear. The sax is surprisingly similar to harmonica. both are reed instruments that play one note at a time. You have to develop tone which is somewhat similar with "honking" being the first step. You coordinate your hands and mouth to create sounds. Once you've got the fingering down and can relate to specific fingers = specific tones, then your already developed musical thinking can fly. +0
