Water all around me
I’m drowning in my shoes
It’s dripping from the ceiling
This battle I’m gonna lose

It’s coming from the pipes above
Through no fault of my own
I see the puddles on the floor
Need a boat to get around

If I don’t patch this problem
I’m gonna have to move
But until that day arrives
I’m gonna sing this groove

These pipes they say
Are forty years
If they’ve seen a day
They call them galvanized
But I think they’re paper mache

They’re crusty at the corners
They bleed a rusty hue
In fact it’s on my counters
And in my bathtub too

If I don’t patch this problem
I’m gonna have to move
But until that day arrives
I’m gonna sing this groove

I’m hoping that the landlord
Will see my side of things
I’m hoping that he’ll cut a check
What’s that, the doorbell rings

Oh no, it’s not the plumber
They say my rent is due
What a bad time to be swimming
Got those bad plumbing blues

As a fan of the blues I like the lyrics but hate your situation cause it sounds real, all the best to you hope it all works out.

Thanks so much. The flood in our condo was in 2008, I think. Not fun at the time....
