ANXIOUS IN RELAXED TIME
I've added chords and a few lines on this beautiful Tom track. I like the sound of the guitar in 1:06, it looks like the sound of a distant violin.
PS Birds in 1:43 ;)

I realized that in the first part you balanced the violins to the left and I passed the guitar to the right. I think the effect in the union has been very nice. Thanks to you, Tom

I hear a a more harp like quality in the first section. Nice complimentary lines against the keys. I'm not convinced by the soft attack at 1:06 and think the normal attack is better.

Hey, Wade, thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you don't like it, it seems very nice that effect ... you don't like how it sounds ? To me it sounds like a distant violin sound 1:15, it reminds me of JL Ponty I do it by turning down a little the volume at the beginning of each note in a part. Thanks for telling me, you know I like to hear as well as listen. ;)

Sometimes we play with effects that please us, but it's also good to know how others hear what we play. I've learned from other's comments that they often prefer the raw sound of the sax rather than when I process the sound. That's good to know.
It's all about communication with listeners. We can often be "too close" so hear through our imaginations rather than our ears. +1

I've heard the effect you're using played/used in a different context by Bill Frisell. If you aren't familiar with his music you may wish to check it out. Very tasty in some instances.
